This page explains what information The Font Generator collects and how it is used. The date it was last changed is shown under the title above, and it is taken from the page itself rather than typed in, so it cannot go stale.
What happens to the text you type
Nothing you type is sent anywhere. Every style on this site is produced by JavaScript running in your own browser, mapping the characters you enter onto Unicode code points. There is no backend, no database, and no API call carrying your text. If you disconnect from the internet after the page has loaded, the generator keeps working, which is the simplest demonstration that your input never travels.
That applies to everything in the input box: names, bios, captions, drafts. It is never transmitted, never logged, and never stored on a server, because no server is involved in generating it.
What is stored in your browser
The generator itself uses your browser’s local storage, not cookies, to remember three things between visits: the styles you have starred as favourites, your recent text so you can bring it back in one tap, and whether you chose light or dark mode. Advertising is the exception, and it does use cookies — see Advertising and cookies below.
Local storage stays on your device. It is not readable by this site's operators, is not synced anywhere, and is not transmitted with any request. Clearing your browser's site data removes all of it immediately.
Third-party services on this site
Being specific is more useful than the usual hedging, so here is exactly what loads on every page and what each one receives.

These services see that a visit happened and roughly where it came from. None of them sees the contents of the generator box, because that text is never part of any request the page makes.
Advertising and cookies
This site is free to use and is funded by advertising. Ads are served by Google AdSense.
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and to other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies lets it and its partners serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. Opting out does not remove ads; it stops them being chosen from your interests.
- You can opt out of a third-party vendor’s use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info.

- Any standard content blocker will stop the ad scripts loading, and the generator keeps working normally without them.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you are asked for consent before any personalised advertising cookie is set, through a consent management platform certified by Google. You can change or withdraw that choice at any time using that platform’s own settings control.
What is not on this site
Not used here
- No account system, sign-up, or login, so there is nothing to have a password for.
- No sale or sharing of personal data with data brokers.
- No server-side logging of the text you enter, because it never reaches a server.
- No ads inside the generator itself. Ads sit in the article below the tool, never between the input box and the results, and never next to a copy button.
Your choices
You can block the third-party services above with any standard content blocker, and the generator will continue to work normally: none of them is required for it to function. Clearing site data in your browser removes your favourites, recent text and theme preference. Advertising choices, including the Google Ads Settings opt-out, are listed under Advertising and cookies above. Browser-level Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals are passed through to the services listed above, which handle them under their own policies.
